ABOUT US
Maanaw Seva Association is a registered charitable society of dedicated volunteers. We were founded in Alberta, Canada in 1991 by members of the local South Asian community.
The Hindi phrase ‘Maanaw Seva’ means in service of mankind. Our objective is to serve and support children in several areas:
- Promote and support access to basic education and vocational training.
- Help the underprivileged, physically and mentally challenged with their basic needs.
- Operate or expand facilities such as schools, hospitals, and orphanages.
Education
Provide assistance for basic, technical and advanced education to underprivileged children. To help people develop personal and professional skills, self-esteem and self-reliance.
Societal Needs
Provide assistance relating to health and hygiene through educational programs, seminars and training. Provide medicine, medical equipment and help build medical facilities. Provide assistance in obtaining basic needs such as water, sanitation and power.
Orphans, Physically and Mentally Challenged
Provide assistance to operate facilities to meet the needs of physically and mentally challenged individuals.
Youth and Seniors
Provide education programs and help organize support networks for youth and seniors.
